Geoff joined RB Plant in April 2018 as Managing Director then transitioning to Chairman in June 2022 handing over the Managing Director role to Simon Denniss.
Geoff is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, he holds a Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering .
Prior to joining RB Plant, Geoff had a successful career in Harsco Corp, as Vice President of Engineering and Technology, managing a global multi-disciplined engineering department of 50 people. Harsco are a diversified global service organisation in the metals industry operating in 35 countries and over 140 operating sites.
Geoff began his career in the Teesside steel industry as a technical apprentice before studying for his degree on a sandwich course. He is an experienced project manager and has managed projects in various locations with varying capital costs, always striving to deliver value on time and on budget.
Geoff’s interests vary from Clay pigeon shooting to classic motorcycles.
Simon has over 30 years extensive experience and a proven track record in delivering high value, logistically complex and challenging projects to meet aggressive cost, quality, safety and timescale targets This expertise transcends a wide range of industries for prestigious clients including pharmaceutical, food, precious metals, mining, catalysts, automotive, glass, agrochemical, chemicals and fine chemicals industries on a wide range of major project engineering Design/Manage/Construction contracts.
In addition to Capital Projects, Simon’s experience includes international Business Transformation Projects where the same degree of management, planning, lateral thinking, and communication skills are necessary. Simon has also provided Project Management Consultancy to our Customers. Key to delivering successful outcomes has been Simon’s technical acumen combined with unparalleled interpersonal skills and ability to interface across a wide range of functions managing conflicting interests.
Mechanical Engineering DIRECTOR
Seán joined R B Plant Construction in January 2017 as Senior Projects Mechanical Engineer. In 2018 Seán was invited to join the Board of Directors of RB Plant Construction Limited.
Seán has over 20 years industry experience working in various roles (including project management) within multidisciplinary teams. Following a mechanical services engineering apprenticeship, Seán has worked within the Rail Safety, Oil & Gas and Metals Industries.
Seán is an experienced (PRINCE 2 Practitioner Certified) project manager and has been responsible for numerous £m projects. Projects undertaken to date have included top-tier COMAH operator’s sites and involvement with all relevant statutory authorities including HSE, EPA, etc.
As a Chartered Mechanical Engineer Seán typically undertakes the following:
Seán holds a MSc in Oil and Gas Engineering from University of Aberdeen, UK and a BEng (Hons) in Engineering from the Open University. Sean also holds a HND, DIS and DipHe from the University of Greenwich.
He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and is a Petrofac Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. Seán is a STEMNET and IMechE STEM ambassador.
Seán is married with four young children; his main hobbies are snowboarding and gardening.
Senior E, I and C Engineer, Project Manager and Director
Mike joined RB Plant Construction in May 2004 as a Senior E, I & C Engineer.
Mike has 34 years of industry experience working in various roles (including Project Management) within multidisciplinary teams.
Following an Electrical and Electronic Engineering apprenticeship with GEC Marconi Defence Systems, Mike has work within a wide range of industries including Guided Weapons, Breweries, Food & Beverage, Glass, Glass & Rock Wool Insulation, Pharmaceutical, Chemicals, and Gemstones.
Mike is an experienced project manager having been responsible for numerous £m projects across varied industries.
Mike has commissioned equipment and plants across the world including UK, Europe, Africa, China, and South America.
Mike holds a HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and is a member of Institution of Engineering and Technology.
In 2013 Mike was invited to join the Board of Directors of RB Plant Construction Limited and has proudly served as a key member of the management team through-out a successful period of growth for the company.
Mike’s interests including Skiing, Live Music, Badminton and Squash.
Process Engineering Director
Jon is experienced Engineering professional operating at Director Level. He holds responsibility for a team of Process Engineers who work on numerous projects across different Industrial Sectors.
Jon owes much of his and the departments success to his flexible and “leading by example” approach with a proven ability to deliver innovative and value engineered solutions.
He has considerable years of experience mainly with the Fuel Storage, energy, Food, Pharmaceutical, Dairy and Fine Chemicals field having progressed through from Production Support Engineer, Process Design Engineer, Validation Manager & Lead, Project Engineer and Project Manager for a range of companies including: Vopak, Fine Organics, SPX, Abbott Laboratories, Aesica, GSK, Pfizer, DTC, UOP, Clariant Chevron, NuStar Energy, De Beers, Akzo Nobel, BOC, etc.
Director, Project Manager and Head of Procurement
Dave joined RB Plant in September 1992 and brings over 40 years of project, contractual and procurement management experience, all essential components to smoothly run projects from start to finish.
In 1995 Dave took on responsibility for Purchasing and in 1996 that of Site Services Operations, Project Management followed on.
Dave has considerable experience in a wide range of industries and working for a diverse range of clients including Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Agrochemicals, Minerals and Gemstones, Metals, Glass, Paper and Food.
His meticulous attention to detail and calm approach with clients and contractors in managing areas of conflict make him the ideal candidate to lead the commercial elements of any projects leading to a mutually satisfactory outcome for all parties concerned.
Dave is proud to be a senior member of the RB Plant team and has contributed to the successful growth of the company.
Dave holds family and friends dear, his interests include classic and performance cars, motorsport, travel, France and Italy, good food and wine.
Business Development Manager
Genghis joined R B Plant in July 2017 as a Senior Process Engineer thereafter transitioning into Business Development. He has a proven track record in achieving successful outcomes for clients through a combination of applying technical expertise and a sharp level of commercial acumen.
This ideally places Genghis to manage client enquiries from the initial phone call or E-Mail right through to beneficial operation ensuring that clients receive not only excellent technical quality but also a cost-effective and positive experience in dealing with RB Plant.
Genghis has over 20 years industry experience working in various roles and sectors including fine and bulk chemicals, petrochemicals and food and drink. This includes working on a top-tier COMAH site for a major international chemical manufacturer in the North West acting as Project and technical lead. He more latterly acquired expertise in an innovation and licensing technology company using laboratory and pilot scale technology to significantly reduce operating costs of process plant for a parent company based in the USA.

Office Manager, Quality & Environment Manager and Senior Secretary
Amanda describes herself as willing and able to administer every aspect of project documentation, reporting, presentation, procurement, finance and assurance. Amanda is conscientious and sought after by project managers to take on the hunt-and-chase aspects of pulling together data and information. In addition to her project support role, Amanda is also Quality & Environment Manager.
